This faux wooden bracket and light is far from the forest now! It has been cut, measured and made into a designer object. I wanted to explore that concept of conservation and how we have to harvest a raw material each time something is made. with this piece, the lines are blurred a bit between the original form of a hollow log, or tree and a contemporary human made object.
